I've been in fandom since 2011. I spent my early years under a different username on FFnet, reading/writing in Glee before moving primarily to HP. I don't remember exactly when I ran across podfic for the first time, but I can tell you I was so happy to discover it.

Podfic is a wonderful thing. I wanted there to be more of it in the world, and I wanted it to be possible to search by fandom for stories to record, so I built a blanket permission database. It was only after I launched the website that I found out there is an entire podficcing community! As someone who'd been quietly consuming in the background for so long, it hadn't occurred to me that you all talk to each other. I wasn't on LJ or DW, and I didn't know about Amplificathon. Now that I've come out of hiding, I want podficcers to know I LOVE WHAT YOU DO. Your talent amazes me! Thank you for all your hard work. <333
